In January of this year, the
Association of CMHCs of Kansas, Inc., formed a new company called
Kansas Health Solutions (KHS), which is a non-profit, Limited
Liability Corporation, in response to the opportunity to manage
Medicaid mental health benefits for the State of Kansas. The purpose
of KHS is to fulfill the functions and obligations of a Prepaid
Ambulatory Health Plan (PAHP), managing a statewide system of
behavioral health services that is responsive to the needs of
clients, accountable for quality outcomes and efficient in
management of its resources. The Association, as the owner, is now
taking applications from individuals who are interested in serving
on the Board of Managers of KHS. The Board of Managers will be
comprised of eight representatives of the State’s CMHCs, a consumer,
a family member of a consumer, and five at large members. If you are
